De Wet & Green Engineering is a locally owned and operated company based in Karratha & head office in Perth Western Australia. DGE focus in suppling boutique, specialised shutdown labour and equipment for the mining industry carrying out high end works in both mechanical, structural and project works for our clients and business partners. 

About the Role 

  • We are currently seeking a experienced, certified Bookkeeper
  • Based in our Perth head office
  • Preparing and lodging BAS statements
  • Reporting to the General Manager and company Director
  • Working in a small team environment
  • Payroll and Superannuation (40 Employees )
  • Bank statement and credit card reconciliation
  • Accounts payable duties and reconciliation
  • Accounts receivable duties and reconciliation
  • Assist with debt collection
  • Preparing monthly financial reports covering balance sheet profit and loss to the senior management team
  • Cashflow projections and reporting to senior management team
  • Processing invoices over client and government portals
  • Willingness to travel to Karratha operations from time to time to assist with training and administration work flows
  • Assist General Manager on a needs bases

Skills and Qualifications 

  • Minimum 5 years Bookkeeping experience in similar roll
  • A certificate IV in accounting and Bookkeeping or equivalent ( essential )
  • Possess a high level written verbal communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of GST legislation
  • Sound knowledge of employee and employer legislation
  • Highly experienced working with Xero is ( essential )
  • Experience working with Simpro data base ( desirable )
  • Excellent data entry skills with accuracy and attention to details
  • Proficient in Microsoft excel and word
  • Someone who can work in a team but must be able to work autonomously
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • The ability to be an active member of a high performing specialised workforce is imperative to your success within De Wet & Green Engineering Pty Ltd.
  • Must be able to pass Police clearance and drug and alcohol screening
